"...Russell's usual wit and warmth..."
Oh sh**.
Ah well. Should be interesting to see another old companion, at least.

It's for SJA, stop being hysterical

That's not the point, he's using a Doctor which was supposed to be the progression from RTD. That's the principle which I think has been overstepped here.
If it were David Tennant for example, I wouldn't have any beef with the issue.Posted 4 months ago # -
It's Moffat's Doctor so he will be writing the Doctor's actions in accordance with the character created, just like Moffat was able to write episodes with two of RTD's doctors in mind.
But heigh ho, if you seriously think he's not going to bother writing the Doctor in a different way to how he is used to then fine. But he has written many dramas before, he sure knows how to create a character.

Well let's see how it pans out, but I'd thought he would've left Doctor Who for good this time. Even in real life he can't leave a perfect ending alone (choice words).

He never said he was leaving SJA or Torchwood. He is still producer of those shows.

I do.
And then I expect everyone else to see it as being different and praise him for it.

Wrong - I don't watch SJA. SJA is just pretend anyway, it means nothing in the grand scheme of things.

"Wrong - I don't watch SJA."
I'm sorry, did I reference you somehow?
For what it's worth, I don't watch SJA either. Haven't since the first year (which wasn't bad... I just don't care about it all that much).

SJA is still part of Doctor Who canon, therefore whatever happens in a crossover happens in Doctor Who also. So it does mean something in the grand scheme of things.
But maybe this wont be horrifically bad, might not be good either, but at least this time he's got Moffat's guidelines to follow.Posted 4 months ago # -
"SJA is still part of Doctor Who canon"
Bullshit. Canon is what people make it. There's no regulatory agency that determines it.
"So it does mean something in the grand scheme of things."
If something is shit, I just ignore it. Same applies here.
"But maybe this wont be horrifically bad, might not be good either, but at least this time he's got Moffat's guidelines to follow."
Like RTD cares. He'll write what he wants to write.

Well, everyone's got their own opinions I suppose.
I just kinda accept it as this, if it happened in the extended universe, it happened in general canonicity.Posted 4 months ago # -
I used to be a lot more bothered about canon than I am now. Probably because I largely just ignore the new series entirely.
